MAC plate
Scalable cell culture platform with flow
Create a dynamic environment, keep the throughput & ease-of-use of your standard plates.
Interesting, but how does this work?
Simple!
1. Seed your 3D cell model in the wells of the MACplate.
2. Place the MAC plate on the MACnet.
3. The MAC, placed in the channels around the well, are now actuated by the MACnet. Their movement creates flow.

Our technology
Nature-inspired flow control
In nature, tiny hair-like structures, called cilia, are responsbile for creating flow in and on many organisms. Think about your own airway, where cilia transport muscus. Inspired by these natural cilia, we developed Magnetic Artificial Cilia (MAC).
Gentle flow in microscale
Inspired by nature, we use MAC to generate controlled flow under a changing magnetic field. This enables high precision flow control.
